Two of the World’s Largest Cruise Ships Now Calling Port Canaveral ‘Home’

Port Canaveral will welcome two of the world’s largest cruise ships to its homeported fleet this November; Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas and Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Epic will be calling Port Canaveral “home.”

Oasis of the Seas

oasis-of-the-seas-new-cruise-ship-in-port-canaveral1Starting on Nov. 5, Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas will offer seven and eight-night cruises departing from Port Canaveral to the Eastern and Western Caribbean Islands. Oasis of the Seas will reside at the spacious and state-of-the-art Cruise Terminal 1, which is the newest cruise facility in the Port.

The Oasis of the Seas is one of the three largest ships in the world, according to This mega-ship carries 5,400 guests, and more than 6,000 guests at full occupancy. Amenities include two surf simulators, a city-sized park, seven distinct neighborhoods and 25 dining options. The Oasis of the Seas is truly a world of its own.

Norwegian Epic

norwegian-epic-new-cruise-coming-to-port-canaveral1Beginning Nov. 12, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Epic will be located at the newly-renovated Cruise Terminal 10; the new terminal has waterside improvements and landside upgrades. Norwegian Epic will offer six and seven-day cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

The Norwegian Epic is one of the world’s top 10 largest cruise ships, and carries 4,100 passengers. The cruise ship’s award-winning features include two Broadway shows, a bowling alley, more than 20 dining options and a two-story sports center.

Head over to Jetty Park on Nov. 5 and Nov. 12, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., to welcome Port Canaveral’s newest ships. There will be music, games, prizes and more. On Nov. 12, you could see six cruise ships docked in Port Canaveral at once – that’s not something you see every day.
