Royal Caribbean International announced earlier this week that it would be bringing a new Mega Ship – Harmony of the Seas – to Port Canaveral in May 2019. The ship will be based in Port Canaveral and will offer passengers seven-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
Harmony of the Seas will replace Oasis of the Seas which is currently at Port Canaveral. Although both ships are similar in size, with Harmony having a maximum capacity of 6,687 people, Harmony began its service in 2016 and Oasis in 2009.
Royal Caribbean stated that Harmony of the Seas is being moved from Ft. Lauderdale’s Port Everglades to service a larger market within driving distance from Florida, Georgia and the Southeast region.
Booking for seven-night Caribbean cruises will be available the week of November 13.
