Rising Tide tap & table is a brand new, welcome addition to the Port. The restaurant, which features indoor and outdoor lakefront seating, occupies the newly remodeled space that was formerly Auddino’s Bakery. The restaurant offers a variety of family friendly dishes such as stone baked pizzas, chicken or steak tacos and several variations of burgers – all with a culinary twist.
Executive Chef Jeff Kainz describes his team’s menu creations as “craveable” and “shareable”. As he told Florida Today, “There’s a great energy here. Rising Tide is something in the Port that’s a little different. I want the Port to be a culinary destination.”
The kitchen is a “scratch kitchen” meaning that everything is made in-house and by hand. The restaurant uses fresh, seasonal foods, many of which are locally sourced. The menu and prices will be every changing and evolve with the availability of seasonal foods.
Part of the biggest appeal of Rising Tide is it’s craft beer and hand-crafted cocktail selection. There are 60 craft beers on tap with several Florida breweries represented. Some of the taps will be available all year long while a select few are reserved for seasonal beers that will rotate throughout the year. The hand-crafted cocktails are just that – made by hand with fresh ingredients. There’s nothing like one of their Strawberry Mules with fresh muddled strawberries.
Rising Tide tap & table is owned by Gary Foreman and his business partner Rich Hensel, one of the owners of the long-standing Fishlips Waterfront Bar & Grill also in Port Canaveral. The restaurant has a 290-seat capacity with a large oval bar and community table. There are several flat screen TVs that show all of your favorite sports tickets so you’ll never have to miss the game. In the evening, the large glass garage doors are opened to allow the breeze to blow through off the lake.
Rising Tide tap & table is currently open for dinner service at 3pm Monday – Wednesday and for lunch service at 11am Thursday – Sunday. To take a look at their current menus visit them online at RisingTideTap.com.
