The line, called Memory Stix, includes both inshore and near-shore gaffs and rods that are strong and sensitive enough to bring in anything from speckled trout to cobia, but lightweight enough for easy transport. Aside from his own fishing experience and running Fineline Fishing Charters, Captain Jim Ross has spent years consulting for popular rod retailers Lamiglas and Shimano and wanted to create rods designed for “trouble-free fishing”. The rods are made up of ergonomic reel seats, tubular graphite handles, and TiCh coated stainless steel guides that weigh 30-35% less than what competitors have on the market.

There are nine sizes available at various price points, starting at $199 to suit the needs of anglers. Memory Stix offers two seven-foot models for those looking to catch even larger fish (bull redfish, snook, tarpon, and Mahi Mahi). The rods not only outperform others on the market, but they are original, dynamic designs.

Pick up your sleek new rod at Sunrise Marina, located at 500 Glen Cheek Drive next to Grills Seafood in the Port.
