Cancer Care Centers of Brevard is the presenting sponsor of this fun, family-oriented event, which is expected to draw over 300 walkers. Come out and enjoy a walk for a cause where the benefits stay right here in Brevard County.

The 11th Anniversary Pink Ribbon Walk at Port Canaveral will be hosted Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Exploration Tower, from 7 to 10 a.m.. A $25 donation per walker is all it takes to be part of this great cause. Walkers will receive a T-shirt and a participation medal. Cancer survivors are invited to join in a special recognition ceremony and butterfly release, beginning at 8:50 am.

Michael Schwarz, event chair and owner of Fishlips Waterfront Bar & Grill, said, “It is an honor to be part of the 11th annual Pink Ribbon Walk. Bringing together the support of the local community, businesses, walkers, and survivors continue to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families in Brevard County. In the past ten years of the Pink Ribbon Walk, we have raised over $200,000. I encourage everyone to register to walk and show your support.”

Individuals and teams are welcome. First, second, and third place awards will be given for Most Funds Raised, Best Dressed Team and Best Dressed Individual. The route will take walkers and runners through several waterfront properties, and return them to The Cove for an awards ceremony and post-walk refreshments.

Funds raised from this event will stay in Brevard County to aid patients undergoing treatment and will be distributed through Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation.

Details: Thunder On Cocoa Beach Space Coast Super Boat Grand Prix is now in it’s 11th year on Florida’s Space Coast. In the past ten years, the Thunder On Cocoa Beach Space Coast Super Boat Grand Prix is one of the most popular and attended offshore boat racing events on the circuit. Canaveral Mac Attack

Details: The Canaveral Mac Attack Fishing Tournament is a Kingfish, Dolphin, and Wahoo tournament in Port Canaveral. The tournament is run by the Cove Merchant’s Association, a 501c(3) organization, and benefits four-year-old Curren Ramsey. Curren (a 5th Generation Brevardian) and was diagnosed with an extremely rare condition called HIVEP2 Syndrome. Learn more about Curren and HIVEP2 here.

Details: The Cove at Port Canaveral will be hosting the Fireworks over the Harbor on July 2020. To accompany the fireworks there will be a street party with food, drinks, live music and more. The fireworks display usually begins once the sun sets and it is dark enough outside. This event is free to the public, with $5 parking. The Fireworks in Port Canaveral draw in anywhere from 5,000 to 8,000 people.
