The Cove recently paved a previously unpaved parking lot for easier, more secure parking and access to Cove are restaurants and attractions. The new 16,000 square foot lot has 337 paved spaces.
The new lot features security cameras and “turtle-friendly” security lighting designed to protect sea turtles from the adverse effects of artificial lights.
“This is good for our customers, and also for the safety of our employees,” said Rhett Fischer, president of the Port Canaveral’s Cove Merchants Association and a co-owner of Rusty’s Seafood and Oyster Bar.
The Cove parking lot project was in direct response to the growing needs of both merchants, port tenants and port guests. There is no charge to park in the new lot.
