Come enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch in Port Canaveral next Friday, January 13 to benefit a great cause. The event will run all afternoon (11am – 3pm) at the Canaveral Port Authority Maritime Center. The Brevard County Sherriff’s office is teaming up with HelpHopeLive and Smokin’ Joker’s Barbecue to host the fundraiser. For $6, attendees can munch on a BBQ sandwich, chips, 2 cookies, and a drink. Sounds like an awesome deal to us!
Marine Security Officer Peggy Brooks’ son Aaron has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a serious disease that attacks the lungs. Aaron needs a bi-lateral lung transplant in order to defeat the disease. The lunch’s profits directly benefit Aaron’s surgery.
